Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip Everyone Loves

This buffalo chicken dip is one of those recipes that people hover around. It’s creamy, a little spicy, and always disappears faster than you expect. I make it for parties, game day, and random nights at home when we want something warm and easy.

I love this one because it’s easy, forgiving, and works just as well for New Year’s Eve, game day, or a casual night at home. Serve it hot with chips or veggies and call it done.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded(rotisserie chicken works great)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup ranch dressing

  • ½ cup buffalo sauce

  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

  • ¼ cup sliced green onions and blue cheese crumbles, for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

  2. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, ranch, and buffalo sauce until smooth.

  3. Stir in the chicken and 1 cup of the shredded cheese.

  4. Spread everything into a small baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and warmed through.

  6. Let it cool just slightly, then top with green onions and blue cheese crumbles before serving.

Serving Ideas

  • Tortilla chips – the classic and always a win

  • Veggies – celery, carrots, or bell peppers if you want something crunchy

  • Bread – sliced baguette, pita chips, or toasted flatbread

  • Crackers – use whatever you have on hand

Make-Ahead Tips

You can mix everything together ahead of time and keep it covered in the fridge. When you’re ready to serve, just bake it and add a few extra minutes if it’s going in cold.
