Game nights (and race days) call for food that’s bold, easy, and guaranteed to disappear. These Kentucky Bourbon-Honey Wings check all the boxes. Sticky, sweet with just a little bite, and finished with a glossy bourbon-honey glaze… they’re the wings everyone reaches for first and then casually keeps going back for.
Baked (or air-fried!), simple to prep, and made for sharing — this is Kentucky comfort food done right.

Why These Kentucky Bourbon-Honey Wings Always Win
When it comes to game day food, I want something that feels a little special without being complicated. These wings do exactly that:
Big Kentucky flavor – bourbon and honey never miss
Crispy outside, juicy inside – the texture is everything
Easy to prep ahead – great for entertaining
Crowd-approved – if they disappear fast, you know they’re good
That sweet-sticky glaze with a hint of heat keeps people coming back for “just one more.”
Ingredients
For the Wings
2 lbs chicken wings (flats & drumettes)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For the Bourbon-Honey Glaze
½ cup honey
¼ cup bourbon (Woodford, Buffalo Trace, or your favorite)
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat
How to Make Kentucky Bourbon-Honey Wings
The key to great wings is getting them crispy first, then letting the glaze do its thing at the end.
1. Prep the Wings
Preheat oven to 425°F. Pat wings dry with paper towels (this helps them crisp). Toss with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Arrange wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet, using a rack if you have one.
2. Bake Until Crispy
Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp.
(Air fryer option: 380°F for 22–25 minutes, shaking halfway.)
3. Make the Bourbon-Honey Glaze
While the wings bake, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, bourbon, soy sauce, Dijon, and red pepper flakes if using.
Simmer for 5–7 minutes, stirring often, until slightly thickened and glossy.
4. Toss & Finish
Remove wings from the oven and toss generously with the bourbon-honey glaze. Return to the oven for 5–7 minutes to let the sauce caramelize.
Sticky, shiny, and exactly how they should be.
Serving Ideas
