A Simple, Elegant Valentine’s Day Dessert
Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to mean reservations, crowds, or an over-the-top dessert that takes all afternoon. Some of the best desserts are the simplest ones... the kind that feel special without trying too hard.
This Strawberries & Mascarpone Cream is one of those recipes.
It’s creamy, lightly sweet, and comes together in minutes. Served in small glasses, it feels romantic and elegant, but still relaxed — perfect for a quiet night in, a cozy dinner at home, or a Valentine’s table that’s more about connection than complication.
This is one of my favorite no-bake Valentine’s Day desserts, and it’s just as perfect for date night, dinner parties, or anytime you want something simple that still feels special.

Ingredients
8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
(I use this creamy mascarpone — it’s smooth, mild, and perfect for no-bake desserts like this one)
¼ cup powdered sugar, adjust to taste
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2–3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
How to Make Strawberries & Mascarpone Cream
Make the mascarpone cream
In a bowl, gently whisk the mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
If the mixture feels too thick, whisk in 1–2 tablespoons heavy cream (or 1–2 teaspoons milk) until silky and spoonable.
(Be careful not to overmix.)
Prepare the strawberries
Wash and slice the strawberries.
If they’re not very sweet, toss them with 1–2 teaspoons of sugar and let them sit for a few minutes to release their juices.
Assemble the dessert
Spoon the mascarpone cream into small glasses, coupe bowls, or dessert cups.
I love serving this in small dessert glasses — they make even the simplest dessert feel a little special.
Top with a layer of strawberries.
Repeat layers if using taller glasses.
Chill (optional)
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before serving for a cooler, slightly firmer texture.
Optional Add-Ons
Lemon zest mixed into the mascarpone cream
A layer of strawberry jam in the bottom
A drizzle of honey or strawberry syrup
Crushed shortbread, lady fingers or amaretti cookies for added texture
Fresh mint for garnish
🍷 What to Serve With It
This dessert pairs beautifully with:
Prosecco (this is the one I usually keep on hand)
Rosé
A light Moscato
Keep it simple. Let the strawberries shine.
A Valentine’s Dessert That Feels Like Home
This is the kind of dessert that doesn’t need a big moment ...it just quietly works. It’s cozy, elegant, and perfect for sharing, whether it’s Valentine’s Day, a date night in, or just a night where dessert deserves a little extra love.
Because sometimes the best celebrations happen right at the table. 💗
